Digital Marketing: public incentives for Maltese companies

The ITPIS programme (International Trade Promotion Incentive Scheme) promoted by TradeMalta provides targeted support for a range of Digital Marketing activities aimed at the internationalization of Maltese companies that are provided by the Malta Business Agency team.
Undertakings may be awarded support to cover costs associated with digital marketing, including advertising on the main search engines, social media and other specialised online plaftorms.
The eligible support measures are:
a. Direct advertising on the main search engines (such as Google Ads or Bing Ads), as long as the expense is targeting an international market;
b. Direct advertising on the main social medial platforms (such as LinkedIn or Facebook) as long as the expense is targeting an international market;
c. Other online platforms with direct digital advertising capabilities such as Taboola, Outbrain, Capterra, Reddit, Quora and others; especially industry and audience specific online platforms
d. Digital design costs (visuals, graphics, etc.) of the marketing campaign.
This incentive is open to companies whose aim is to intensify their internationalisation activities with a view to increasing their exports. The beneficiary must be a company registered in one of the following categories.
a. A company incorporated under the Companies Act Chapter 386 of the Laws of Malta
b. Self-employed persons registered with Jobsplus
c. Cooperatives registered with the Co-operatives Board
d. The following table lists the eligible sectors and economic activities by way of indication and their respective NACE code:

– design, development, production, duplication and printing of marketing materials
